Oman’s Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion has unveiled an integrated action plan for Dhofar Governorate ahead of the annual Khareef season, aiming to strengthen market stability and ensure the readiness of essential services for residents and visitors.
Officials said the plan includes intensified monitoring of commercial establishments, increased inspection activity, and steps to guarantee the availability of essential goods across the governorate during the peak tourism period.
Authorities also confirmed preparations to ensure fuel stations and service facilities are fully operational, as part of broader efforts to support logistics and maintain service quality during the seasonal influx.
The announcement comes alongside new economic data showing continued growth in Dhofar’s commercial and investment activity. In the first quarter of 2026, the governorate recorded more than 1,000 new commercial registrations and dozens of foreign investment entries, reflecting sustained business confidence in the region.
Officials highlighted that the figures point to a steady expansion of the local economy, supported by construction, services, and industrial activity across different wilayats.
As part of the preparations, inspections will also cover pricing compliance, safety standards, and supply chain readiness, including food stock availability ahead of peak demand.
The ministry said the measures are designed to support a stable business environment while enhancing the experience of visitors during the Khareef tourism season in Oman.
