Oman and Uzbekistan Strengthen Bilateral Cooperation

Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Oman’s Foreign Minister, met with Bakhtiyor Saidov, Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister, during an official visit to Uzbekistan. The two ministers engaged in discussions aimed at enhancing cooperation between their countries.

They explored ways to improve bilateral relations, particularly in the areas of trade, investment, and the economy. Both sides emphasized the importance of expanding ties in sectors such as education, culture, tourism, and renewable energy. Sayyid Badr highlighted Oman’s interest in strengthening partnerships with Uzbekistan, particularly in trade and sustainable development.

In addition to economic matters, they also addressed opportunities for collaboration in infrastructure and logistics. Both ministers recognized that improving these sectors would enhance the economic partnership between the two nations, advancing mutual interests. The meeting also covered key regional and international topics of shared concern. Both leaders agreed on the importance of increased consultation and coordination, particularly to promote stability and security.

As the talks concluded, both ministers expressed their commitment to ensuring that their collaboration leads to tangible results. They agreed to continue fostering cooperation, aiming for long-term benefits for both nations.

The meeting was attended by Sayyida Wafa Jabr Al Busaidi, Oman’s Ambassador to Uzbekistan, along with several officials from both governments.

Through this meeting, Oman and Uzbekistan reaffirmed their commitment to advancing mutual goals and building a more prosperous future. They recognized the value of their partnership and look forward to further strengthening ties in the years to come.
