Oman has renewed its collaboration with Eutelsat, ensuring continuous satellite coverage through the EUTELSAT 21B satellite. This move highlights the government’s commitment to strengthening Oman’s broadcast capabilities and delivering reliable media services across the nation.

The Ministry of Information (MOI) confirmed that the extended partnership will allow Oman to continue using the EUTELSAT 21B satellite to transmit national television and other media content. This collaboration ensures high-quality broadcasts while supporting the country’s expanding media infrastructure.

EUTELSAT 21B, positioned at 21° East, provides extensive coverage across the Middle East, Africa, and Europe. Its advanced Ku-band capacity enables the transmission of professional video signals, supporting both government and public broadcasting requirements. By leveraging this satellite, Oman enhances the reliability and reach of its national media services.

In addition, Eutelsat emphasized its commitment to delivering secure, high-performance satellite solutions tailored to government and institutional needs. This ongoing cooperation demonstrates how satellite technology plays a pivotal role in strengthening Oman’s broadcast capabilities and sustaining a robust national broadcasting environment.

The renewal also reflects the Ministry of Information’s confidence in Eutelsat’s infrastructure and service continuity. By choosing to maintain this partnership, Oman ensures that its citizens receive uninterrupted access to television programming and other vital media content. Furthermore, the collaboration facilitates efficient transmission of digital content, supporting both current and future media initiatives.

Eutelsat’s advanced satellite services provide Oman with the ability to expand its media footprint in the region. The reliable signal quality supports educational programming, government announcements, and cultural broadcasting, contributing to national development and public awareness.

Moreover, officials noted that strengthening Oman’s broadcast capabilities through this partnership aligns with the country’s broader digital transformation goals. With enhanced satellite infrastructure, Oman positions itself as a leader in media technology and innovation within the Middle East.
