DOHA: The Ministry of Interior (MoI) has announced that the old version of the Metrash2 mobile application will be discontinued from March 1. It is urging users to upgrade to the latest version to continue accessing MoI e-services.

According to the ministry, the updated Metrash app is available for download on the App Store and Google Play. It is compatible with iOS 13 and above, as well as Android 10 and above.

“Starting from March 1, 2025, the old Metrash app (Metrash2) will be discontinued. To continue accessing the Ministry of Interior’s electronic services, please download the new Metrash app by scanning the QR code,” the MoI stated in a social media post.

Brigadier Jassim Al Buhashim Al Sayed, Director General of Communications and Information Systems, previously highlighted that the latest version of the app has been designed using advanced technology. It aims to improve user experience.

“The new application introduces enhanced features such as profile management, authorization services, and real-time notifications. These make it easier for users to access essential services,” he said.

Additional upgrades include address management for document deliveries and an interactive map for locating service centers. There is also a passport scanning feature for visa applications.

The ministry has advised all users to update to the new version before the deadline. This will ensure uninterrupted access to MoI services.
