Taiwan National Normal University (NTNU) recently welcomed Sheikh Abdul Aziz Al Nuaimi and youth ambassadors from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for a special educational symposium. The event, held in Taipei last week, focused on strengthening cooperation and fostering educational exchanges between Taiwan and the UAE. Sheikh Abdul Aziz Al Nuaimi, famously known as the “Green Sheikh,” is the nephew of the ruler of Ajman, one of the seven emirates in the UAE. He has earned recognition for his environmental advocacy and currently serves as an environmental advisor to the Ajman government and the UAE. His commitment to sustainable development aligns with the themes discussed during the NTNU symposium.
Throughout the event, students and faculty from NTNU, National Taiwan University, and the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology engaged in discussions. They explored topics such as sustainable development, cultural exchange, and opportunities for future collaboration. In recent years, students from these universities have traveled to partner schools in the UAE, participating in cultural and educational exchanges.
