During the celebration of the 83rd anniversary of the birth of Commander Kim Jong Il, H.E. Ju Myong Chol, Chargé d’affaires of the North Korean Embassy in Kuwait, expressed his appreciation for Kuwait’s efforts to strengthen relations with North Korea. Speaking at the embassy headquarters in the Rumaitha area, he affirmed the shared goal of enhancing friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
Ju Myong Chol praised Kuwait’s leadership, particularly His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, for the nation’s strides toward achieving Vision 2035. He stated, “We are ready to do everything we can to develop friendship and cooperation between our countries.”
He also reflected on the legacy of Kim Jong Il, describing his revolutionary life as noble and driven by a commitment to the people’s well-being. Ju emphasized the continued development of the vision of a strong and prosperous socialist state under the leadership of President Kim Jong Un.
Addressing the situation on the Korean Peninsula, he reiterated that while North Korea seeks to avoid escalating tensions, the country is committed to ensuring regional military balance through sustainable countermeasures. He stressed North Korea’s responsibility to maintain its defense capabilities to protect its sovereignty and regional stability, reaffirming its stance against actions that threaten global peace and security.
