Freestyle footballer Nathan Davies has launched a 100km football-juggling challenge across Qatar to set a new world record. The attempt tests both endurance and ball control over four days. Fans can witness history as Davies pursues this unique feat. The 100km football-juggling challenge highlights physical stamina, focus, and exceptional skill. By completing it, Davies aims to mark a memorable sporting milestone in Qatar.
He began at Dukhan Beach and plans to finish at Doha Corniche. He will cover 30 kilometres daily for the first three days, saving 10 kilometres for the last day. Each session starts at 6am and ends around 3pm.
The 50-year-old British athlete, based in New Jersey, trained for months to handle physical and mental challenges. Davies holds four world records, including most consecutive shoulder touches and football rolls across the forehead. Despite this, Qatar’s weather, desert terrain, and long distances will test his endurance.
Davies said the idea started earlier this year from a desire to juggle a football across an entire country. Qatar offered flat terrain, favorable climate, and football culture after hosting the World Cup. Since September, Davies has increased his walking mileage, added strength and stretching routines, and prioritized recovery.
Mental focus is key. He concentrates on keeping the ball in control during the first two miles. Once he reaches a rhythm, he enters a flow state, ignoring negative thoughts.
Residents can support Davies near the Corniche or follow him online via Instagram @soccershowman. His passion for football and endurance sports began in childhood, inspired by a family of runners. Freestyling captivated him at age 13.
The 100km football-juggling challenge combines ultramarathon-style endurance with freestyle football skill. This journey is more than a record attempt; it shows the power of dedication, focus, and human determination.
