Naaman Al Hassan Appointed Assistant Secretary General of the Arab Sailing Federation

Naaman Al Hassan, Vice President of the Bahrain Marine Sports Federation, has accepted the position of Assistant Secretary General of the Arab Sailing Federation. The General Assembly meeting, held recently in Cairo, made this important decision. Sheikh Khalifa bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, President of both the Bahrain Marine Sports Federation and the Arab Sailing Federation, chaired the meeting.

The assembly made several significant decisions. It appointed Mr. Saeed Kamalzadeh as the Secretary General and Engineer Ahmed Ismail as the Treasurer. The meeting also approved the formation of committee heads for the upcoming period.

One of the key outcomes of the assembly was the approval of the draft budget for the next period. The assembly confirmed the dates for two major championships in 2025. The Arab Sailing Championship will take place in Egypt. If Egypt is unable to host, Algeria will step in as the host country. The second event is the Arab Girls Championship, planned for Kuwait. If necessary, Oman or Tunisia will serve as backup hosts.

Naaman Al Hassan expressed his appreciation for the trust placed in him by the General Assembly and the Board of Directors of the Arab Sailing Federation. He thanked them for appointing him as Assistant Secretary General. Al Hassan also stressed that the confidence in him will inspire him to work harder toward the development of sailing across Arab nations. He is determined to support the Federation’s growth and aims to achieve even greater success under the guidance of Sheikh Khalifa bin Abdullah Al Khalifa.

Al Hassan affirmed that the Arab Sailing Federation will remain dedicated to advancing the sport of sailing. He promised the Federation would continue organizing Arab championships for both men and women. The goal is to elevate the sport and develop skilled Arab sailors capable of competing at continental and international levels. Al Hassan concluded by wishing the new Board of Directors success in their efforts.
