Muharraq Governor Focuses on Public Safety and Security Enhancement

The Governor of Muharraq, Salman bin Isa bin Hindi Al Mannai, commended the ongoing efforts by the Ministry of Interior. These initiatives, under the leadership of Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, the Minister of Interior, have significantly contributed to the Kingdom’s security and development.

The Governor chaired a meeting with the Governorate’s Security Committee to discuss important security plans. The meeting included key figures such as Brigadier Jassim Mohammed Al Ghatam, Deputy Governor; Brigadier Sultan Ahmed Al Kaabi, Director-General of Muharraq Governorate Police Directorate; and Lieutenant Colonel Abdulaziz Al Baker, Security Coordination Officer. Several other officers and representatives from relevant departments were also present.

During the session, the Governor highlighted essential security measures and service plans for the near future. With the summer vacation approaching, he emphasized the need to increase awareness among residents about regular home maintenance. This practice, he pointed out, plays a vital role in ensuring public safety. Additionally, he called for more stringent inspection campaigns at local restaurants and shops to guarantee adherence to safety regulations. The Governor also praised the General Directorate of Civil Defense for its efforts in promoting safety and taking preventive actions.

The meeting further addressed traffic safety. The Governor stressed the importance of enforcing helmet use among motorcycle riders and ensuring safety requirements are met. Additionally, he noted the need to regulate the use of electric bicycles to avoid potential dangers, especially in residential neighborhoods. The Governor also encouraged stronger cooperation with relevant authorities to monitor issues such as abandoned vehicles and illegal parking in residential areas. He reminded the public that both citizens and residents play a crucial role in reporting violations and suspicious activities.

Brigadier Sultan Ahmed Al Kaabi, for his part, presented an update on the efforts of the Muharraq Governorate Police Directorate. He discussed measures to combat issues like begging and traffic congestion. Al Kaabi revealed that the police department has intensified patrols and conducted field visits to monitor violations. Furthermore, he assured that proactive security committees are being formed to ensure full preparedness for future events and activities. This will help maintain security stability across the governorate.

These ongoing efforts demonstrate a clear commitment to ensuring safety and enhancing the quality of life in Muharraq. Through such measures, the Governor and security officials aim to foster a safer and more secure environment for all.
