Doha, Qatar:
The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) has revised the conditions for the Acceleration System. This system allows exceptional students to skip grades and advance to higher levels based on specific criteria.
Under the new amendments, students of all nationalities who pass the first round of exams will now be eligible to take the acceleration exam in the second round of the same academic year. The ministry has also outlined the permitted grades for acceleration according to an approved schedule.
Additionally, the ministry has updated the percentage requirements for applying and passing the acceleration test. There are varying criteria for day education students, adult education students, and home education students, as well as distinctions between Qatari and non-Qatari students.
It was also confirmed that promotion rules will not apply to students who are applying for the Acceleration System Test. Students in the support category (third level) will not be eligible for this system.
A student is permitted to apply for the acceleration exam only once per academic stage, according to the approved schedule. Test questions will be developed centrally by the Ministry of Education. The Ministry will collaborate with the Student Evaluation and Educational Guidance Departments. The exact dates for the acceleration tests will be announced in the near future.
