Kuwait’s Supreme Judicial Council Vows to Implement Amir’s Directives

The Supreme Judicial Council has affirmed its commitment to fully implementing the directives outlined by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad during his recent meeting with members of the judiciary. The Council assured that it will coordinate with the Ministry of Justice to ensure the effective execution of these instructions.

In its statement, the Council expressed deep gratitude for the Amir’s visit and his valuable guidance, emphasizing the judiciary’s critical role in upholding justice. It also reaffirmed that judicial authority is exercised by the courts in the name of the Amir, as stipulated in Article 53 of the Kuwaiti Constitution. Furthermore, the Council emphasized that judgments are issued and enforced in the Amir’s name, as outlined in Article 15 of Decree Law No. 23 of 1990, concerning the Judicial Organization Law.
