The minister emphasized the importance of the General Authority for Youth’s year-round programs. These programs are implemented under the National Youth Policy at youth centers across all six governorates. The initiatives are designed to help young people develop their skills and talents in various sectors. These sectors include technology, entrepreneurship, social and economic fields, and culture.
One of the key aspects of these programs is their inclusiveness and diversity. This inclusiveness allows young men and women to pursue their aspirations and achieve significant progress in multiple developmental areas. Al-Mutairi noted that many Kuwaiti youth have successfully competed in regional and international competitions. The minister also acknowledged the vital role of collaboration. This collaboration is between the General Authority for Youth, government agencies, civil society, and the private sector in advancing youth development. Furthermore, Al-Mutairi praised the contributions of Kuwaiti youth to major events. These include the 26th Arabian Gulf Cup and the Veterans’ Tournament, both of which Kuwait recently hosted. Their dedication to organizing these events helped ensure their success.
Al-Mutairi concluded by commending the Public Authority for Sports for its role in nurturing young athletes. They provide them with world-class facilities and support to excel in competitions.
