The Farwaniya Governorate Committee of the Municipal Council has approved a key infrastructure project. This project aims at improving connectivity in the region. The Public Authority for Roads and Land Transport’s proposal to build a road linking Al-Mubarak University campus in Abdullah Al-Mubarak to the Seventh Ring Road has been given the green light.
In addition to the road project, Municipal Council Vice Chairman Khaled Al-Mutairi presented a proposal to expand the entrance and exit at Gate 2 of Sabah Al-Salem University City. This proposal was also approved during the meeting held on Wednesday, March 12.
The committee discussed additional proposals for improving traffic flow and accessibility in the area. One such proposal, presented by committee member Walid Al-Dagher, suggested the establishment of an entrance south of Abdullah Al-Mubarak. Another proposal recommended creating an entrance south of Seventh Street. These proposals have been forwarded to the executive body for further action.
In another development, the committee approved the reorganization of a plot within Block No. 15 in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh. However, a letter regarding the construction of a service street in the Sabah Al-Nasser area along the Sixth Ring Road was returned to the executive authority for necessary amendments.
The meeting also touched on the “Ride & Park” project. The committee recommended the sites be used for a technical study to assess their potential. These initiatives reflect ongoing efforts to enhance transportation infrastructure and support the growth and accessibility of key areas in Kuwait.
