His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, visited the Kuwait Fire Force (KFF) headquarters. He was accompanied by His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and His Highness the Acting Prime Minister Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah. Upon arrival, His Highness was warmly received by the Minister of Defense and Acting Minister of Interior, Sheikh Abdullah Ali Al-Salem Al-Sabah. KFF Chief Major General Talal Al-Roumi also welcomed him.
During the visit, His Highness delivered a speech, offering congratulations to the fire force in honor of the holy month of Ramadan. He expressed his pride in the KFF for its service and dedication. He praised the leadership and training provided by the force’s chiefs. His Highness reaffirmed his continued support for the fire force. He emphasized the need to enhance its efficiency and readiness to safeguard communities. He also stressed the importance of staying abreast of developments in prevention through strategic planning.
His Highness highlighted the fire force’s key role in the Sixth Arab Regional Forum for Disaster Risk Reduction. At this forum, Kuwait urged world governments to implement the Sendai Framework, a global initiative for disaster risk management.
As part of his ongoing commitment to improving the force, His Highness directed the KFF leadership to focus on several key areas for development. These included enhancing the vigilance and readiness of KFF members. He advised upgrading the force’s systems with modern technologies. Furthermore, he emphasized ensuring that equipment remains up-to-date. Additionally, he encouraged fostering cooperation with military, security, and civil sectors for better disaster and crisis management.
In response, KFF Chief Major General Talal Al-Roumi echoed His Highness’s Ramadan greetings and expressed gratitude for the unwavering support to the force. He highlighted several accomplishments, such as modernizing KFF systems to electronic platforms. He also mentioned conducting the largest preventative inspections. Furthermore, he noted improvements in prevention and security systems and the establishment of new fire stations. Additionally, he noted the successful implementation of training programs and awareness campaigns.
The visit concluded with Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Ali Al-Mutairi reciting a poem. Afterward, His Highness the Amir was presented with a commemorative gift to mark the occasion.
