Kuwaiti Ambassador to Bahrain Praises Students at Annual Iftar Banquet

At the second annual Iftar banquet hosted by the Kuwaiti Cultural Office in Bahrain, Sheikh Thamer Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, the Kuwaiti Ambassador to Bahrain, praised the dedication, perseverance, and sense of responsibility shown by Kuwaiti students in the Kingdom. Sheikh Thamer acknowledged their efforts in representing their homeland with excellence and diligence, noting how they continue to uphold the values of their nation while pursuing their academic goals.

During the event, which coincided with the holy month of Ramadan, Sheikh Thamer extended his warm congratulations to the attendees, praying for Allah to accept their fasting and grant them success and prosperity. He emphasized the significant role Kuwaiti students play in shaping Kuwait’s future, urging them to invest their time wisely in their academic pursuits and to stay committed to their studies with patience and perseverance. He also encouraged the students to strive for excellence, emphasizing that serving Kuwait is a great honor.

Sheikh Thamer highlighted the strong historical and social ties between Kuwait and Bahrain, pointing out that Kuwaiti students experience a unique Ramadan in Bahrain, enriched by shared traditions and values that closely mirror those of Kuwait. He praised Bahrain’s advanced academic environment, which fosters creativity and learning, and reaffirmed the embassy’s continued support for Kuwaiti students in the Kingdom.

Furthermore, the ambassador expressed his appreciation for the Kuwaiti Cultural Office in Bahrain, acknowledging their role in ensuring students’ academic comfort and well-being. He also recognized the National Bank of Kuwait (Bahrain Branch) for their ongoing support of student initiatives.

The Head of the Cultural Office, Dr. Mohammed Al-Daghim, also spoke at the event, stressing the importance of the annual gathering in strengthening social bonds among students and reinforcing their connection to the embassy and cultural office. Dr. Al-Daghim commended the students for their commitment to academic and societal regulations, expressing pride in their achievements and wishing them continued success in their studies.

The Iftar banquet, supported by the National Bank of Kuwait (Bahrain Branch), was attended by Sheikh Thamer, senior officials, and around 1,100 Kuwaiti students in Bahrain, alongside their families. The event created a sense of unity and camaraderie, celebrating both the spirit of Ramadan and the academic ambition of Kuwaiti students abroad.
