Kuwait PM Strengthens Global Ties in Meetings with EU’s Kallas and Goldman Sachs CEO

Kuwait global ties advanced this week as Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah met key international leaders in Kuwait City. The meetings reflected Kuwait’s commitment to expanding diplomatic and financial partnerships in line with the national vision, Kuwait 2035.

His Highness the Prime Minister welcomed European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaya Kallas and her delegation. The two sides discussed strengthening cooperation between Kuwait and the European Union across economic, political, and energy sectors.

During the talks, both leaders emphasized the importance of maintaining dialogue and coordination on regional and international issues. They also reviewed ways to boost trade and investment exchanges, underscoring the shared commitment to sustainable development and peace. Kuwait global ties have played a vital role in fostering dialogue with major global partners.

In another meeting, Sheikh Ahmad received David Solomon, Chief Executive Officer of Goldman Sachs, and his accompanying delegation. Discussions centered on enhancing cooperation between Kuwait and the leading financial institution.

The talks explored new opportunities in banking, capital markets, and investment projects aligned with Kuwait’s development strategy. Sheikh Ahmad highlighted that collaboration with international financial firms remains crucial for advancing the country’s economic diversification efforts.

David Solomon expressed Goldman Sachs’ readiness to deepen its engagement in Kuwait and to contribute expertise to the nation’s financial transformation. He noted that the bank views Kuwait as a promising hub for regional investment and innovation.

Both meetings reaffirmed Kuwait’s approach of strengthening international cooperation and attracting global partners. The Prime Minister stressed that open communication and shared initiatives will help drive sustainable growth under Kuwait 2035.
