Kuwait Participates in LIMA 2025 as Defence Undersecretary Leads Delegation and Holds High-Level Meetings in Malaysia

Lieutenant General Ibrahim Nasser Al-Alawi, Undersecretary of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Defence, is leading the official delegation representing Kuwait at the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA 2025), held from May 20 to 24 on Langkawi Island, Malaysia.

Lieutenant General Al-Alawi attended the official opening ceremony of LIMA 2025, which included a spectacular aerial display showcasing advanced military aviation capabilities and cutting-edge aerospace technologies.

As part of the exhibition, the Undersecretary conducted a field tour of several participating pavilions.
He explored the latest innovations and solutions in the fields of defence, aerospace, and aviation, reflecting Kuwait’s interest in keeping pace with international developments in military technologies.

In line with strengthening defence relations, Lieutenant General Al-Alawi held a series of bilateral meetings with senior Malaysian defence officials.
He met separately with:

  • General Dato’ Muhammad Nizam Jaafar, Chief of the Malaysian Armed Forces
  • General Dato’ Sri Mohd Asghar Khan bin Goriman Khan, Commander of the Royal Malaysian Air Force
  • Rear Admiral Zulkifli bin Ithnin, Commander of the Royal Malaysian Navy
  • Lokman Hakim Ali, Secretary General of the Malaysian Ministry of Defence

During the meetings, the two sides discussed ways to enhance military cooperation, explore joint initiatives, and strengthen partnerships in areas of mutual interest.
These engagements reflect Kuwait’s ongoing efforts to develop strategic defence ties and explore opportunities for technological exchange and joint training with key international partners.

The participation of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Defence in LIMA 2025 affirms its commitment to international collaboration and highlights the importance of staying connected to advancements in global defence industries.
