The Ministry of Education in Kuwait has launched a new initiative to help students improve their academic performance. These centers, called Learner Care Centers, are set up across all regions to offer reinforcement lessons and educational programs. Classes will begin in March and continue until mid-May 2025. Registration remains open throughout the second semester of the 2024/2025 academic year.
The primary goal of these Learner Care Centers is to support students who may need extra help in various subjects. The centers provide small group lessons under the supervision of expert teachers. This structure ensures personalized attention for each student. The subjects available include Arabic, English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and French for intermediate and secondary levels. For primary levels, the availability depends on the number of registrants.
Registration is simple and can be done at the center itself. The cost is set at 25 KD per subject for intermediate and secondary levels. However, students can receive a discount. If a student registers for multiple subjects or if two siblings enroll at the same center, the fee is reduced to 20 KD per subject.
Each subject offers 20 study hours. Classes are held in the evening from Sunday to Wednesday, with two hours dedicated to each session. This schedule allows students to receive quality educational support without conflicting with their regular school hours.
The Ministry of Education aims to provide integrated educational services through these Learner Care Centers. The centers are designed to help struggling students catch up while also encouraging outstanding learners to reach their full potential. The Ministry has carefully selected qualified teachers from regional schools to lead these programs. These teachers will work under the supervision of the Educational Affairs Department to ensure the highest quality of instruction.
Parents are encouraged to register their children for these programs, as the Ministry believes that the specialized support offered will significantly benefit all students. The launch of the Learner Care Centers marks a key step in Kuwait’s ongoing efforts to enhance education and provide extra support to students who need it most.
