Kuwait Denies Social Media Claims of Terrorist Cell Arrest

Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior has dismissed social media reports claiming that security authorities arrested a terrorist cell in the country, saying the information is false and does not come from any official source.

In a statement, the ministry said it deals with all matters related to national security with full transparency. It added that if any case affecting the country’s security were discovered, the public would be informed through official channels in line with approved procedures.

The ministry urged the public to verify information before sharing it and to rely only on official government sources for updates. It warned against circulating unverified claims, saying rumours can mislead the public and undermine the public interest.

Authorities also reminded the public that publishing or re-sharing false information could lead to legal action under Kuwait’s applicable laws and regulations.
