Kuwait and China Strengthen Partnership Through High-Level Talks

Kuwait and China reaffirmed their strong friendship during the visit of Chinese Vice President Han Zheng to Kuwait. The visit focused on Kuwait-China partnership, it highlights the growing cooperation between the two nations. Both sides discussed regional developments, strategic projects, and ways to boost mutual interests.

The Amir of Kuwait welcomed Han Zheng and his delegation at Al-Salam Palace. The meeting emphasized the deep historical ties linking Kuwait and China. Leaders from both countries expressed their shared commitment to expanding collaboration in various fields, including trade, infrastructure, and culture.

Later, the Crown Prince of Kuwait received Han Zheng for an official round of talks. Senior Kuwaiti and Chinese officials attended the discussions, which focused on enhancing the Kuwait-China partnership through new investments and technology cooperation. The two sides also reviewed recent global developments and explored fresh opportunities to advance peace and stability in the region.

During the talks, both leaders praised the long-standing friendship between their nations. They agreed to strengthen their joint projects under the Belt and Road Initiative, aiming to boost economic ties and create sustainable growth. Moreover, they highlighted the importance of education and cultural exchange in promoting understanding between their peoples.

Following the meeting, the Crown Prince hosted a banquet to honor Vice President Han and his delegation. The event reflected the warmth and respect that mark the relationship between Kuwait and China.

Afterward, Han Zheng visited Al-Salam Palace Museum, where he toured its galleries and historical exhibits. Sheikha Mona Al-Jaber Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah guided the Vice President through the museum’s sections, explaining the significance of its rare collections and artifacts. The visit offered Han a closer look at Kuwait’s rich history and cultural achievements.

The Chinese delegation also explored other parts of the museum, including exhibits dedicated to Kuwait’s rulers and civilizations. Minister of Public Works Noura Al-Mashaan and Kuwait’s Ambassador to China Jasem Ibrahim Al-Najem accompanied the Vice President during the tour.

Ultimately, this visit marked a new step forward in Kuwait-China partnership, reaffirming trust and cooperation between the two nations. Both sides expressed optimism that their collaboration will continue to grow, strengthening Kuwait-China partnership for years to come.
