Kuwait intensified work on major national projects during its weekly Cabinet meeting, which focused on boosting infrastructure and improving long-term planning. The government emphasized Kuwait strategic progress, especially as several ministries prepare to deliver large-scale developments across key sectors.

The Cabinet met on Wednesday at Bayan Palace and directed the Ministry of Public Works to accelerate work on the Gulf railway and rapid transport projects. Officials stressed that these transport systems will support economic growth and improve regional connectivity. They also highlighted the importance of unified planning to avoid delays.

During the meeting, the Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs briefed the press on several updates. The Cabinet reviewed messages sent to the Amir from regional and international leaders. These messages focused on strengthening cooperation and expanding joint initiatives across multiple fields. Although regional challenges remain complex, Kuwait continues to prioritize collaboration and stability.

The Cabinet praised the Amir’s speech at the opening session of the 46th GCC Supreme Council in Bahrain. The speech highlighted the need for unity within the GCC to maintain peace, enhance growth, and support shared goals. It also reaffirmed Kuwait’s commitment to its partnership with Iraq, including recent progress on maritime boundary agreements. These discussions support broader Kuwait strategic progress and reinforce regional cooperation.

Furthermore, the Foreign Minister presented details from the GCC final communiqué. The document emphasized collective Gulf security, stronger coordination, and unified policies. It also welcomed Kuwait’s plan to host the Third Arab-Chinese Summit in 2030. Gulf leaders also praised Kuwait for hosting a major conference that explored future judicial and legislative cooperation. Additionally, Kuwait received recognition as Capital of Arab Culture and Media for 2025.

On the digital front, the Cabinet celebrated an award given to the government’s Sahel application. Over 42 government entities contributed to this digital services success. Officials confirmed ongoing plans to expand digital transformation to improve service quality for citizens and residents.

The Minister of Justice also shared that the Anti-Corruption Authority earned a regional excellence award for its integrity strategy. The Cabinet reaffirmed full support for stronger accountability and better protection of public funds.
