The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has launched three major humanitarian initiatives aimed at improving health, education, and food security for vulnerable communities worldwide. These efforts reflect Saudi Arabia’s ongoing commitment to global humanitarian assistance.
In Faridpur, Bangladesh, KSrelief implemented the Saudi Noor Volunteer Project to Combat Blindness and Related Diseases from September 6 to 11, in cooperation with the World Sight Foundation (WSF). During the campaign, a volunteer medical team examined 4,054 patients, performed 270 cataract surgeries, and distributed 800 eyeglasses to people in need.
Simultaneously, KSrelief distributed school bags, uniforms, and supplies to 4,000 students in the region. This initiative aims to enhance educational opportunities for children in underserved areas.
In Yemen, KSrelief focused on improving food security by distributing food aid to families affected by ongoing conflicts. The center provided essential food packages to over 10,000 households, ensuring that families have access to nutritious meals.
In Lebanon, KSrelief partnered with local organizations to provide medical care and educational support to Syrian refugees. The initiative includes mobile health clinics and educational programs to assist displaced communities.
These humanitarian initiatives underscore KSrelief’s dedication to alleviating suffering and promoting well-being in regions facing crises. By addressing health, education, and food security, KSrelief continues to make a significant impact on vulnerable populations worldwide.
