Khalid Abdulrahman Al Majed Appointed CEO of Edamah

Edamah, the real estate investment arm of Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company, has announced the appointment of Khalid Abdulrahman Al Majed as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective March 16, 2025.

With two decades of experience in real estate investment, asset management, and finance, Al Majed previously served as Vice President of Asset Management at the main group. He played a key role in overseeing the execution and management of major projects in both local and international markets. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce and Finance from Concordia University in Canada and an MBA from London Business School in the United Kingdom.

Throughout his career, Al Majed has successfully led real estate investment initiatives, managed large-scale projects, and implemented innovative strategies to drive growth and efficiency. His leadership has been instrumental in guiding multidisciplinary teams and executing strategic development plans.

The Board of Directors at Edamah, led by Chairman Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, expressed confidence in Al Majed’s ability to lead the company in its next phase of development under the “Building for Bahrain” initiative. The Board also extended its appreciation to outgoing CEO Christopher Calvert for his contributions to the company’s progress.

Commenting on the appointment, Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalifa Al Khalifa highlighted Al Majed’s extensive expertise in the real estate sector, emphasizing his strong industry relationships and deep market knowledge. He stated that these qualities position him well to drive Edamah’s growth in the coming years.

Al Majed expressed his gratitude for the opportunity, stating that he looks forward to working with the Board and the team to enhance Edamah’s role in the national economy and contribute to the sustainable expansion of Bahrain’s real estate sector.
