Jafari Endowments Honors Quran Reciters and Participants in “Tilawat” Competition

The Jafari Endowments Administration recently held its annual ceremony to honor the winners and reciters of the “Tilawat” Quran Competition. The administration broadcast this event through its social media platforms during the holy month of Ramadan. Abdul Jalil Ibrahim Al-Turaif, Vice Chairman of the Jafari Endowments Council, led the ceremony. Several council members were also present.

The ceremony began with a Quranic recitation by Youssef Abdul Nasser. Following the recitation, Al-Turaif addressed the attendees. He conveyed the greetings of Mr. Youssef bin Saleh Al-Saleh, Chairman of the Jafari Endowments Council, to the reciters and winners. Council members, including Abdul Majeed Sheikh Mansour Al-Sitri, Mr. Abdul Hussain Mohammed Ali Al-Daif, and Mr. Ahmed Saleh Al-Nuaimi, also attended.

In his speech, Al-Turaif highlighted the Kingdom of Bahrain’s strong connection to the Holy Quran. “Bahrain, with its leadership, government, and citizens, has a deep respect for the Holy Quran,” he stated. He emphasized that the people of Bahrain maintain a close bond with the Quran. Moreover, he praised the various official and community-driven initiatives that teach Quranic knowledge, especially to the younger generation.

The Vice Chairman also stressed the significance of the Jafari Endowments Directorate’s role. He pointed out that the Directorate fosters public communication, particularly during Ramadan, when interest in the Quran peaks. “Through initiatives like this competition, we aim to spread Quranic knowledge,” he explained. This competition has inspired widespread participation, promoting the learning and recitation of the Quran.

He further noted the success of the competition, which has seen increasing interaction from diverse groups. “We are pleased to see such positive engagement with the event,” he remarked. The competition has become one of the most important Quranic events in Bahrain. The Jafari Endowments Directorate is committed to continuing this initiative and expanding it in the future.

“We look forward to growing this competition and maximizing its impact in the years ahead,” Al-Turaif concluded, wishing everyone continued success.
