Iraq Recognized for Excellence in Hajj Services

The Iraq Hajj delegation award has once again confirmed the country’s leadership in pilgrim services. Iraq received the Diamond Tier of the Labaytom Award, the highest honor given by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah for excellence during the Hajj season.

This prestigious award also recognized the efforts of delegations from Turkey and Malaysia. The honor celebrates outstanding achievements in planning, healthcare, spiritual guidance, comfort, and overall organization. Iraq’s consistent performance continues to draw praise from the international community.

This year, the Iraqi Hajj team earned recognition for its superior coordination and commitment to serving pilgrims. The delegation had also secured the same top award in both 2023 and 2024. These repeated wins highlight the country’s strong capabilities in organizing Hajj missions effectively.

Hajj is one of the core pillars of Islam and draws millions of Muslims each year to Mecca. Countries send official delegations to provide necessary support for their pilgrims. The Iraq Hajj delegation award demonstrates Iraq’s efforts to build stronger institutions and deliver professional services despite past challenges.

The Iraqi Hajj mission described the award as a sign of global respect and appreciation. It reflected the mission’s dedication to giving pilgrims a safe and smooth experience. Their efforts ensure that Iraq’s pilgrims complete the religious journey with dignity and comfort.

In 2025, over 1.6 million Muslims performed the Hajj pilgrimage. More than 1.5 million of them traveled from outside Saudi Arabia, while over 166,000 participated from within the country.

The Iraq Hajj delegation award represents more than just recognition. It is a symbol of national pride, operational strength, and the country’s growing reputation in managing one of the world’s largest annual religious gatherings.
