The Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Unit received global recognition at the Global Innovation Summit 2025 in Dubai. The unit won the Distinguished Innovation Enabler Award, securing its spot among the top five countries worldwide. This award recognized Oman’s commitment to institutional innovation through its Institutional Innovation Guide project.

The summit took place over two days in Dubai, gathering innovators, thought leaders, and decision-makers from across the world. More than 2,400 projects from 36 countries participated in the prestigious event. The Global Innovation Institute (GInI) hosted the awards to promote collaboration and knowledge exchange on innovation.

This win is a major milestone for Oman, underscoring the country’s commitment to the goals of Oman Vision 2040. Launched under the leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, Vision 2040 is shaping Oman’s future. The Institutional Innovation Guide, published in the second quarter of 2024, is the first of its kind in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. This groundbreaking guide is setting a benchmark for institutional innovation across various sectors.
