The Embassy of India in Kuwait has announced that it will temporarily limit consular, passport and visa services to emergency cases only until July 9 due to administrative reasons.
In a notice issued on Monday, the embassy said only urgent applications supported by documents demonstrating an immediate need will be accepted during the temporary service disruption.
The emergency services available include expedited passport issuance under the Tatkal scheme, certificates for non-resident Indians, short-validity passports linked to expired civil IDs, emergency travel certificates and electronic visas.
The embassy added that applications for regular passports, standard visas and document attestation services will not be accepted or processed during the suspension period.
It also confirmed that all Indian Consular Application Centres across Kuwait will temporarily stop receiving applications until further notice.
Applicants requiring emergency assistance have been advised to visit the embassy’s consular section between 9:00am and 12:00pm, where requests will be reviewed upon submission of supporting documents demonstrating the urgency of the case.
