Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) held its first event to support head and neck cancer survivors. The meeting, called “Enhancing the Quality of Life of Patients with Head and Neck Cancer,” was held at Bayt Al Dhiyafah.
The event brought together patients, families, and health workers. It gave everyone a chance to learn, share, and support one another.
Dr. Hanadi Al Hamad and Mohamed Shafi led the event. They spoke about life after cancer, how to recover, and how to find strength.
Many doctors and nurses gave short talks. At the same time, survivors told personal stories that showed hope, struggle, and healing.
Dr. Mohamed Ussama Al Homsi talked about the need for better training and research. He said that new knowledge helps doctors care for patients in smarter ways.
Also, Noora Rashid Essa Al-Mudahka said the event was a big step. She said it shows how HMC puts patients at the center of care.
Dr. Hussain Ali Al-Enazi said healing is more than just surgery. He explained that working with speech experts, dietitians, and mental health staff makes a big difference.
The event also brought together many types of health experts. These included cancer doctors, surgeons, therapists, and nurses. They shared ideas and tips for better care.
Because of this mix of people, the event gave a full picture of what recovery should look like.
HMC supports cancer survivors by creating safe spaces to talk, learn, and grow after treatment. Through events like this, patients feel seen and heard.
Mohamed Shafi called the event more than a talk. He said it was a new step toward better care built on teamwork.
HMC supports cancer survivors not only in hospitals but also by giving them a voice in their care. This event shows a strong move toward healing, together.
In short, HMC supports cancer survivors by turning care into a team effort that values both heart and science.
