Healthcare Satisfaction in Oman Climbs to 81.8% in 2025 Survey

Community satisfaction with healthcare services in Oman rose significantly to 81.8% in 2025, up 8.4% from 73.4% in 2023. This improvement reflects positive changes in the health sector, according to the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).

NCSI conducted the survey to measure healthcare satisfaction in Oman across different providers. It revealed a difference in satisfaction between government and private healthcare facilities. People showed an 80% satisfaction rate with government institutions, while private providers scored higher at 85%. This gap highlights the continued preference for private healthcare services.

Additionally, expatriates expressed higher satisfaction than citizens. The survey found that 87% of expatriates were satisfied, compared to 79% of Omani citizens. This difference suggests varying expectations and experiences within the system.

NCSI stressed that the survey supports Oman Vision 2040’s goals to improve health quality and overall living standards. The center promotes transparency and urges healthcare providers to improve services. It also encourages policy changes based on survey feedback to better meet community needs.

The survey assessed six key areas of healthcare services: satisfaction with general conditions, doctors, nurses, pharmacists, appointment systems, and treatment costs. Each category received detailed evaluation to provide a full picture of public opinion.

NCSI collected data from a carefully selected, statistically representative sample of both citizens and expatriates residing across various regions in Oman. The center ensured the survey reached a diverse group of participants to capture a wide range of experiences and opinions. By applying rigorous and transparent statistical methods, NCSI aimed to guarantee that the results accurately reflect the true sentiments of the population. This thorough approach helped maintain the objectivity and reliability of the findings, making the data a solid foundation for future healthcare improvements.

People can access the full survey results in the NCSI online library at www.ncsi.gov.om. This transparency helps the public and healthcare providers identify areas for improvement.

In conclusion, healthcare satisfaction in Oman continues to grow, reflecting ongoing efforts to enhance medical services nationwide. Both government and private sectors must keep improving to meet rising public expectations.
