Authorities declared Thursday an official holiday in Halabja to allow families and visitors to fully participate in the celebrations. The festival extends over three days, coinciding with the weekend, ensuring that even more people can join the festivities and celebrate Halabja’s agricultural achievements.

Organizers expect over 300,000 guests this year, surpassing last year’s 285,000 attendees.
