Frosty Dawn: UAE Winter Chill Deepens as Temperatures Drop Below 10°C

The UAE winter chill has officially arrived, bringing crisp mornings and cooler evenings across the country. Temperatures dipped to single digits in several areas, marking the coldest morning of the season so far.

At 6:30 a.m., Raknah in Al Ain recorded 9.8°C, setting the stage for an even colder week ahead. Meteorologists from the National Centre of Meteorology predict a further drop of 4 to 6 degrees in the coming days. As a result, residents should expect frostier mornings and noticeably cooler nights.

Across the UAE, many regions are feeling the temperature shift as winter settles in. Despite the cool air early in the morning, the afternoons still bring warmth. Sweihan in Al Ain recorded the highest temperature of 35.5°C at 2:15 p.m., showing the country’s characteristic temperature swings during this seasonal transition.

Furthermore, weather experts are urging residents to stay alert and prepare for the changing conditions. They recommend keeping warm clothing ready, especially for early morning commutes and late-night activities. Many residents have already noticed the cool breeze spreading through the desert regions and coastal cities.

In addition, the shift signals the start of a favorite season for many. Families are planning outdoor gatherings, barbecues, and camping trips under the clear winter sky. The crisp air and mild afternoons make November a popular time for such activities across the Emirates.

However, the UAE winter chill also brings sudden dips in temperature after sunset. Health experts advise residents to avoid rapid temperature changes and stay hydrated even in cooler weather. The sharp contrast between day and night temperatures can cause discomfort, especially for children and the elderly.

Moreover, this seasonal drop reflects the UAE’s move toward its most pleasant months. The cool weather usually peaks between December and February, creating ideal conditions for tourism, festivals, and outdoor markets.

With each passing day, the UAE winter chill continues to transform the landscape—from foggy mornings in the valleys to breezy evenings by the coast. As the mercury dips further, residents and visitors alike are preparing to embrace the beauty of winter in the Emirates.
