Four Arrested Over Electrical Cable Theft In Barka

Four people have been arrested in Oman on suspicion of stealing electrical cables from an electricity distribution facility in Barka, authorities said.

The Royal Oman Police said the arrests were carried out by the Directorate General of Inquiries and Criminal Research following an investigation into the theft.

Police placed the suspects under surveillance after investigators linked them to five similar incidents at multiple locations across South Al Batinah Governorate.

The four were taken into custody, and legal proceedings are now underway as the investigation continues.
