Dubai Municipality and Parkin Company PJSC signed an agreement on Wednesday that will see Parkin operate parking at some of Dubai’s public parks. This new partnership aims to improve parking operations and enhance service quality across Dubai’s public spaces.
Dubai public park parking management will now benefit from Parkin’s expertise. The agreement sets a clear framework for cooperation. It includes developing planning and regulatory standards and simplifying permit processes. Additionally, it enables data sharing to optimize parking services.
Parkin will manage selected public parking facilities owned by Dubai Municipality, significantly expanding the company’s smart-parking network and greatly improving the overall visitor experience across multiple popular locations.
Dubai hosts five major parks: Za’abeel, Mushrif National Park, Al Mamzar, Al Khor, and Al Safa. Last year, these parks welcomed a total of 6.69 million visitors. Other popular spots like the Qur’anic Garden and Dubai Frame drew 1.8 million and 1.59 million visitors, respectively.
Bader Anwahi, CEO of Dubai Municipality’s Public Facilities Agency, said this collaboration supports Dubai’s smart and sustainable future goals. He emphasized that the agreement will raise public service quality and efficiency while enhancing the customer experience.
Moreover, the partnership will explore opportunities for investment and development of multi-storey parking structures. It will also cover managing regulated parking facilities and providing value-added services at major events. The agreement focuses on setting unified standards for using private plots as public parking areas. Innovative mobility solutions, such as smart access and payment systems, are also in development.
Mohamed Abdulla Al Ali, CEO of Parkin, stated that their extensive experience in public parking management aligns with Dubai Municipality’s urban planning goals. He explained that the collaboration supports the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan to improve urban mobility. He added that this partnership highlights Parkin’s commitment to Dubai’s vision for a smarter, greener future.
