Driving Innovation in Sustainable Engineering in Oman

The University of Technology and Applied Sciences (UTAS) in Al Mussanah is preparing for a major academic event. In collaboration with its Research and Consultation Department, the College of Engineering and Technology will host an international conference titled “Sustainable Development in Engineering and Technology – ICSDET 2025.” The two-day event begins on April 30 and concludes on May 1, 2025.

The conference takes place in partnership with the Global College of Engineering and Technology. It will unite leading researchers and experts in engineering fields from around the globe. More than 300 participants will attend, all committed to driving innovation in sustainable engineering.

Throughout the event, speakers and participants will share ideas, present findings, and exchange knowledge. The focus remains clear—supporting driving innovation in sustainable engineering across all disciplines.

This global platform encourages cooperation on emerging technologies that support sustainability. It aligns with Oman Vision 2040 by fostering knowledge-based progress, economic diversification, and environmental stewardship.

A major highlight of ICSDET 2025 includes the presentation of over 100 peer-reviewed research papers. These works showcase new approaches and creative solutions in sustainable development.

Each speaker brings expertise in sustainable energy, innovation, smart systems, or resilient infrastructure.

Topics at the conference include smart computing technologies, green electronics, renewable energy systems, sustainable manufacturing, and advanced infrastructure design. These discussions will provide practical insights into sustainable practices in engineering.

By sharing knowledge and fostering international collaboration, UTAS-Al Mussanah and its partners aim to spark real change. The goal of driving innovation in sustainable engineering resonates throughout the conference, reminding attendees of their role in shaping a sustainable future.

ICSDET 2025 promises to be a dynamic event with lasting impact.
