Digital Transformation Drives COMEX 2025 Innovation in Oman

The opening ceremony of COMEX 2025 placed digital transformation at the center of Oman’s growing technology landscape. Leading innovators, investors, and policymakers gathered at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre for the event.

The exhibition highlighted advances in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, space industry growth, and cutting-edge digital solutions. Organizers emphasized that the event supports both innovation and sustainable development across multiple sectors.

During the opening day, agreements worth 42 million Omani rials were signed. These agreements focused on digital transformation and expanding national projects. Government institutions also launched several electronic platforms, including Tajawab, the new national system for suggestions, complaints, and reports.

Officials explained that the digital economy aims to contribute 10 percent to the GDP by 2040. They stressed that Oman is witnessing an impressive surge in digital investment. At COMEX 2024, agreements reached nearly 200 million rials. At the LEAP 2025 conference in Saudi Arabia, Omani technology companies signed agreements worth 40 million rials.

Leaders also reviewed a set of major projects launched as part of COMEX 2025 activities. These projects included 30 new services added to the unified portal for digital services. A new mobile application and a smart assistant were also unveiled to improve user accessibility.

The government introduced a national portal for open data, which will expand transparency and public access to information. Additionally, new “Thiqa” services for digital certification will support secure transactions.The Omani language model “Ma’een” launched to enhance local digital tools.

Observers noted that COMEX 2025 strengthens Oman’s role as a regional hub for technology. The exhibition provided opportunities for networking, knowledge-sharing, and building strategic partnerships. It also reinforced the country’s commitment to developing homegrown digital solutions.

In conclusion, COMEX 2025 showcased Oman’s strong focus on digital transformation. The agreements, platforms, and projects presented will accelerate economic growth and strengthen the innovation ecosystem. With its ambitious initiatives, Oman continues to advance toward a more digital and knowledge-based economy.
