The Doha Institute for Graduate Studies (DI) has successfully renewed accreditation for its Sociology and Anthropology, and Media Studies programmes through FIBAA, a renowned European quality assurance agency.
This achievement highlights DI’s strong dedication to academic excellence. It also confirms the institute’s commitment to maintaining international standards in teaching, curriculum development, and student-focused learning.
FIBAA conducted a thorough external review as part of the reaccreditation process. The evaluation examined programme structure, course content, expected outcomes, faculty qualifications, and student support systems. As a result, both programmes met all of FIBAA’s rigorous quality benchmarks.
Dr. Abdelwahab El Affendi, President of DI, emphasized the significance of the milestone. “This reaccreditation confirms our ability to maintain academic excellence and retain international trust,” he said. “We remain focused on offering world-class education that prepares students for global success.”
He also praised the collective effort behind the achievement. “Our faculty, administrators, and students all contribute to this success,” he added.
Hala Sheikh Al Souk, Director of Institutional Effectiveness and Quality Assurance, explained the deeper meaning of this milestone. “We don’t treat quality as a one-time goal,” she said. “Our team works continuously to improve academic outcomes. This reaccreditation reflects that ongoing effort.”
She also stressed how the programmes respond to student needs. “Our courses meet international expectations while adapting to modern learners,” she noted.
These reaccreditations further elevate DI’s global academic reputation. They also reinforce its long-term vision of offering high-quality education rooted in continuous improvement.
By meeting FIBAA’s standards, DI strengthens its credibility and ensures that students receive a valuable, internationally respected education.
