Crown Prince meets Philippines, Cambodia leaders in Kuala Lumpur while representing His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah at key regional summits. The meetings took place on the sidelines of the second ASEAN-Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Summit and the ASEAN-GCC-China Summit.
His Highness Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah held separate discussions with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr of the Philippines and Prime Minister Dr Hun Manet of Cambodia.
In his meeting with President Marcos, the Crown Prince conveyed warm greetings from the Amir of Kuwait. Both leaders reviewed the strong bilateral relations between Kuwait and the Philippines. They explored new opportunities to strengthen cooperation in key sectors and discussed pressing regional and global developments.
Later, the Crown Prince met with Prime Minister Hun Manet to assess current Kuwait-Cambodia ties. The conversation focused on enhancing cooperation for the mutual benefit of both countries. The leaders also exchanged views on major international issues and regional stability.
Crown Prince meets Philippines, Cambodia leaders to reaffirm Kuwait’s commitment to diplomacy and multilateral engagement in Asia. These meetings reflect Kuwait’s growing role in strengthening political and economic partnerships in the region.
Foreign Minister Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya, along with senior diplomatic aides, attended both meetings. During the Cambodia session, Kuwait’s Ambassador to Malaysia, Rashid Mohammed Al-Saleh, was also present.
The discussions align with Kuwait’s broader diplomatic strategy to deepen ties with ASEAN nations, support mutual development goals, and contribute to regional peace.
