Civil Defence Ties Deepen Through Oman-Saudi Talks

Civil defence ties took center stage during a recent high-level visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. On Wednesday, a delegation from Oman’s Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority arrived in Riyadh for official talks.

Maj. Gen. Sulaiman Ali Al Husseini led the Omani delegation. He serves as the Chairman of the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority in Oman. The visit aimed to strengthen civil defence ties and expand cooperation between the two nations.

Officials greeted the delegation at the Directorate General of Civil Defence in Saudi Arabia. Maj. Gen. Dr. Hamoud Suleiman Al-Faraj, who heads the Saudi agency, welcomed the Omani team. Other senior Saudi officials also attended the reception.

Throughout the visit, the two sides held discussions to exchange knowledge and technical expertise. They reviewed shared challenges in emergency response and disaster prevention. Moreover, both parties agreed on the importance of continued collaboration in future civil defence operations.

As part of the itinerary, the Omani officials toured the Saudi Civil Defence Institute. This field visit allowed them to observe specialized training programs for civil defence personnel. These programs cater to various professional levels within the emergency services.
