The Labor Fund “Tamkeen” hosted a special event to highlight the entrepreneurial projects that reached the final stage of the tenth edition of the Mashroo3i program. Twelve Bahraini entrepreneurs presented their innovative business ideas to a panel of investors and key figures in the entrepreneurship ecosystem. The initiative aims to help participants establish strategic connections, receive expert guidance, and explore opportunities for business growth and development.
The event followed an intensive eight-week training camp designed to equip participants with essential entrepreneurial skills and transform their ideas into viable business ventures. During this period, participants worked on launching their startups and were given the opportunity to access financial grants under the Mashroo3i program, supporting their entry into the market.
Mashroo3i serves as a platform to empower young Bahrainis with the knowledge, mentorship, and financial support needed to start their own businesses. The program plays a vital role in fostering economic development by nurturing local talent and encouraging innovation. This year’s edition saw the participation of 63 teams, who underwent a rigorous two-stage training process. The initial phase focused on idea development and feasibility assessment, while the second stage provided specialized consultations to refine business concepts and strengthen networking opportunities. Ultimately, twelve projects advanced to the final showcase.
The initiative reflects Tamkeen’s commitment to fostering an entrepreneurial culture and creating sustainable business opportunities. Through tailored programs, Tamkeen continues to support Bahraini entrepreneurs in launching and expanding their ventures, contributing to the national economy. The presentation event featured projects across various sectors, including technology, healthcare, tourism, entertainment, and logistics, all aimed at addressing market challenges and driving industry growth.
Strengthening Bahrain’s startup ecosystem remains a key priority for Tamkeen. Last year, the organization supported 2,780 startups in establishing operations in the private sector and facilitated financing solutions in collaboration with major financial institutions. Approximately 52% of small and medium enterprises benefited from these financing programs, reflecting Tamkeen’s commitment to fostering business sustainability.
Since its launch in 2012, the Mashroo3i program has played a pivotal role in supporting Bahraini entrepreneurs, generating numerous success stories. By offering mentorship, financial aid, and strategic guidance, the program enables aspiring business owners to transform creative concepts into thriving commercial ventures, further enhancing Bahrain’s position as a hub for innovation and entrepreneurship.
