Bahrain recently played a key role in advancing GCC standardization efforts during the tenth meeting of the GCC Ministerial Committee for Standardization. Bahrain’s Minister of Industry and Commerce, also serving as Chairman of the National Committee for Standards and Metrology, actively participated in discussions. The session also focused on approving the GCC Standardization Organization’s budget for the fiscal year 2026. Another key topic was the adoption of the GCC Standardization Organization’s strategic plan for 2026-2030. Additionally, the committee approved the internal regulations of the GCC Accreditation Center.
