The meeting brought together BNADO’s CEO Saad Mubarak Al-Nefaie, AIU Head David Howman, AIU CEO Brett Clothier, and Bahrain Athletics Association Secretary-General Yousef Mohammed. Agency advisors and officials also attended, reflecting the importance of the discussions.

During the talks, BNADO presented the National Anti-Doping Strategy. The presentation highlighted achievements such as international recognition from the World Anti-Doping Agency. This recognition confirmed the agency’s ability to apply global anti-doping standards locally.

Moreover, the agency emphasized its recent awareness and educational programs. These initiatives have reached athletes, coaches, and staff across different sports in Bahrain. They aim to build a culture that values fairness and accountability.

The agency also stressed its work on developing strategic partnerships. These collaborations ensure Bahrain continues advancing its anti-doping systems while learning from global best practices. The new agreement with the Integrity Unit forms another important milestone in this effort.

Al-Nefaie praised the Integrity Unit for its essential role in maintaining athletics’ integrity. He described the partnership as a key factor in achieving the agency’s ambitious vision for clean sport in Bahrain.

Meanwhile, Integrity Unit Head Howman expressed appreciation for Bahrain’s progress. He noted the agency’s achievements in safeguarding sports and voiced his eagerness to strengthen cooperation. Clothier also shared optimism, emphasizing the importance of joint action to maintain international standards.

Both sides agreed to establish clear frameworks for collaboration. They will share expertise, exchange knowledge, and adopt innovative practices to combat doping effectively. This step highlights Bahrain’s determination to create a safe, fair, and transparent sporting environment.

Ultimately, the partnership demonstrates Bahrain’s firm commitment to clean sport. With global collaboration and strong national strategies, Bahrain is positioning itself as a regional leader in protecting athletic integrity. The continued focus on clean sport reflects the nation’s vision for a future where fairness and honesty define every competition.
