Bahrain Sports Pioneers Association to Hold Inaugural General Assembly Meeting in March

The Bahrain Sports Pioneers Association is set to convene its first General Assembly meeting in March. During this meeting, members will review past achievements and elect a new Board of Directors for the upcoming term.

During the association’s recent fifth founding board meeting, which was chaired by Saleh bin Isa bin Hindi Al-Mannai, key agenda items were discussed. This meeting had a majority of members present. One of the main topics was the recent fire incident that damaged the home of former international footballer Juma Bashir. Bashir is a notable player for Al-Ahli Club and the national and military football teams. The association’s leadership reaffirmed their commitment to supporting Bashir through this difficult time. They pledged efforts to help compensate for the damages caused by the fire.

Additionally, the meeting covered updates on the Ministry of Social Development’s approval of the new board formation. Members also reviewed the association’s literary report, detailing its activities from its establishment in 2019 through the end of 2024. However, the discussion of the financial report was deferred to the next meeting.

The upcoming General Assembly meeting is expected to be a pivotal moment for the association. It will set the stage for its future initiatives in advancing sports and supporting veteran athletes in Bahrain.
