Bahrain’s Minister of the Royal Court, Sheikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, met Mohammed Abdel Salam, Secretary-General of the Muslim Council of Elders, during a meeting at the Royal Court on Tuesday.
During the meeting, Abdel Salam presented two publications dedicated to King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa from Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Grand Imam of Al-Azhar. The publications included a commemorative book documenting the Bahrain Forum for Islamic-Islamic Dialogue, which was held under the King’s patronage, and the encyclopedia One Hundred Questions on Methodology, Creed and Sharia, produced by Al-Azhar scholars in cooperation with the Muslim Council of Elders.
Sheikh Khalid conveyed the King’s appreciation to the Grand Imam for the gesture and expressed his best wishes.
The minister also praised Al-Azhar’s role in promoting tolerance, peaceful coexistence and dialogue, highlighting its contribution to spreading the values of Islam and strengthening understanding between communities.
He reaffirmed the ongoing cooperation between Bahrain and Al-Azhar in supporting initiatives that promote shared human values and constructive dialogue.
