Bahrain is taking bold steps to transform its land services through AI technology for land management. In a major development, the Survey and Land Registration Bureau has partnered with global firm Aetosky to roll out the second phase of an advanced monitoring system.
This new system uses satellite images to track changes in land use and detect building violations in real time. As a result, officials expect faster decision-making, improved accuracy, and better coordination between agencies.
Previously, the Bureau launched the first phase of this project in cooperation with the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture. That phase saw a 60% boost in monitoring efficiency. Encouraged by that success, the Bureau is now extending the system to other government entities.
Furthermore, the second phase focuses on transferring technical expertise to local teams. It also aims to build national skills that will allow the platform to be developed and managed internally. This effort reflects Bahrain’s long-term goal of achieving digital independence.
In addition, the system supports the country’s broader Government Program (2023–2026). This national plan prioritizes digital transformation, better service delivery, and stronger institutional performance. The integration of AI technology for land management plays a central role in meeting these objectives.
Meanwhile, Aetosky emphasized the importance of public-private partnerships in driving innovation. The company is providing a smart platform that generates precise reports, allowing leaders to make data-driven decisions more efficiently.
Moreover, the platform helps strengthen the country’s geospatial data systems. This will improve urban planning, reduce land misuse, and ensure more transparent processes across government departments.
Not only does the project deliver technical benefits, but it also enhances Bahrain’s position as a forward-thinking digital hub. By using AI technology for land management, the nation is setting an example in the region.
Ultimately, this initiative reflects a strong commitment to innovation, sustainability, and public service excellence. Through strategic collaboration and advanced AI tools, Bahrain is shaping the future of land and urban management.
