Bahrain Launches “Al Manara” Space to Boost Youth Creativity and Culture

Bahrain unveiled a new initiative this week, emphasizing Bahrain’s youth creativity through the opening of the “Al Manara” Art and Culture Space. The venue provides a vibrant environment where young people can express themselves and develop artistic and intellectual skills.

The inauguration took place at the Muharraq Model Youth Center, attracting artists, creative youth, and cultural enthusiasts. Moreover, the space reflects the Ministry of Youth Affairs’ vision of fostering Bahrain’s youth creativity and connecting generations through art. Attendees experienced workshops, murals, a music corner, and the “Creators’ Wall,” celebrating local talent.

Additionally, the idea for “Al Manara” emerged from a “Youth Talk” session, which invited young creatives to share visions for enhancing the creative sector. These discussions inspired the development of a space where ideas converge and innovation thrives. The project aims to provide a platform that nurtures Bahrain’s youth creativity in a structured and supportive environment.

Visitors also toured the exhibition hall and gift corner, where young artists displayed their work. The initiative supports projects that combine creativity with entrepreneurship, helping youth turn their passions into cultural and economic contributions. The Suhad Café, part of the center, offers a practical example of young talent blending business and artistic innovation.

The “Al Manara” Space offers a wide range of workshops in music, drawing, design, photography, and other art forms. However, these activities aim to enhance artistic taste, foster skill development, and highlight promising Bahraini talent. By providing structured programs, the space empowers young people to transform their creativity into meaningful projects.

The Ministry emphasizes that connecting youth with cultural initiatives strengthens national belonging and encourages innovation. By fostering collaboration between young artists and professionals, the center promotes dialogue and mentorship opportunities. The initiative also encourages participation in the broader cultural scene in Bahrain.

Through programs, exhibitions, and interactive spaces, “Al Manara” is set to become a hub for Bahrain’s youth creativity. It encourages artistic expression, entrepreneurial thinking, and cultural engagement, positioning young people as active contributors to the Kingdom’s cultural development.

Bahrain’s youth creativity will continue to grow through this initiative, offering opportunities for innovation, learning, and community engagement, while showcasing the country’s talented new generation.
