Bahrain Focuses on Expanding Maritime Connectivity to enhance Tourism

Fatima bint Jaffar Al-Sairafi, Minister of Tourism, highlighted the crucial role the private sector plays in Bahrain’s Tourism Strategy for 2022-2026. The government aims to improve tourism services and create innovative programs. This will strengthen Bahrain’s position as a top tourist destination globally.

The Minister recently met with Engineer Yousef Khalifa Al Mana, CEO of Masar Group, to discuss ways to improve maritime connectivity between key tourist destinations. They agreed that expanding maritime connectivity would boost Bahrain’s tourism infrastructure. This development will support sustainable tourism growth and enrich the visitor experience.

Al-Sairafi praised Masar Group for supporting the Ministry’s goals. The Group operates cruises, which are a key component of Bahrain’s tourism offerings. As the only archipelago in the Middle East, Bahrain has distinct advantages for developing waterfronts and recreational activities. These features play an essential role in the Kingdom’s tourism strategy.

The Minister also emphasized that maritime tourism is crucial. By improving maritime connectivity, Bahrain will offer visitors a unique way to explore its coastal areas. This improvement will elevate the quality of the tourism experience. It will also support sustainable tourism practices in the Kingdom.

Engineer Yousef Khalifa Al Mana praised the Ministry’s ongoing efforts. He expressed appreciation for the fruitful cooperation between the public and private sectors. This collaboration is essential to achieving Bahrain’s tourism objectives and promoting the Kingdom as a top destination.

In conclusion, Bahrain’s focus on expanding maritime connectivity with the help of private sector initiatives like Masar Group will strengthen the tourism sector. With a clear strategy in place, Bahrain will attract more visitors and ensure the sustainability of its tourism growth.
