Bahrain Chamber Joins eKey 2.0 for Digital Transformation

The Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry has taken a major step in digital transformation by adopting eKey 2.0. This move strengthens security, enhances privacy, and streamlines electronic services for its members. Since the Chamber’s advanced technical infrastructure made it one of the first private sector institutions to integrate this system, it remains at the forefront of innovation.

During a special ceremony, Lieutenant General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, recognized this achievement. Moreover, he honored His Excellency Mr. Sameer bin Abdullah Nass, Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber, for supporting modern technology. The event also celebrated other government and private institutions that joined the “My Government” app and eKey system during its initial launch.

Furthermore, Bahrain Chamber CEO, Mr. Atef Mohammed Al Khaja, highlighted the organization’s commitment to digital transformation. He stated that the Board of Directors’ initiatives focus on upgrading digital infrastructure, boosting the digital economy, and modernizing business services. As a result, the Chamber aims to create a seamless and secure experience for its members while ensuring reliability.

To stay ahead, the Chamber continuously adopts the latest technologies. By integrating eKey 2.0, it enhances security and improves access to electronic services. Consequently, this effort aligns with Bahrain’s Vision 2030, which promotes innovation and digital development.

Al Khaja emphasized that digital transformation remains a priority. In addition, the Chamber is dedicated to advancing its electronic services and adopting best practices. This commitment strengthens the business environment and increases the private sector’s competitiveness.

The eKey 2.0 system, launched in partnership with the Information & eGovernment Authority and Beyon Connect, represents a breakthrough in digital verification. It uses biometric authentication to provide a secure and user-friendly experience. Therefore, by implementing this system, Bahrain moves closer to a more secure and efficient digital future.

The Bahrain Chamber’s role in digital transformation highlights its dedication to innovation. As technology evolves, the Chamber remains focused on delivering secure and efficient services for its members. Ultimately, this approach ensures long-term growth and success.
