Bahrain and UAE Strengthen Ties Through Youth and Sports Cooperation

Bahrain is intensifying its collaboration with the United Arab Emirates to empower youth and advance the sports sector. The focus on youth and sports cooperation was highlighted during a recent high-level meeting, emphasizing the strategic importance of shared projects between the two countries. This initiative aims to benefit young people while strengthening bilateral relations.

The Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports in Bahrain recently hosted the UAE Ambassador. Bahrain’s Minister of Youth Affairs also attended the meeting. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to youth and sports cooperation.
They highlighted their shared vision for a thriving and engaged younger generation.

Participants discussed a range of initiatives, including the signing of executive agreements and launching joint programs designed to empower youth, enhance sporting opportunities, and build national talent. They emphasized that investing in youth development ensures sustainable growth and long-term benefits for both countries.

The UAE delegation expressed pride in its close fraternal ties with Bahrain, emphasizing ongoing youth and sports cooperation. Both sides highlighted the need to create platforms for young people to engage, innovate, and excel in sports, leadership, and community programs.

Officials underlined that these efforts reflect decades of strong bilateral relations, while also fostering innovation in youth initiatives. They confirmed that collaboration would continue to expand, covering education, training, international sports events, and leadership development. The meeting also explored mechanisms to track progress and ensure measurable outcomes for youth empowerment programs.

Both countries agreed that youth and sports partnerships go beyond individual projects. They strengthen cultural, social, and professional links between Bahrain and the UAE.
