Bahrain and Egypt Strengthen Cooperation in Urban Development

Bahrain and Egypt continue to build a strong and productive relationship. Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa highlighted the long-standing historical ties between both nations. These ties serve as an example of Arab cooperation and integration. The bond is strengthened by the leadership of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain and President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi of Egypt. Both leaders consistently work toward enhancing bilateral relations for the benefit of their peoples.

During a recent meeting at Al-Qudaibiya Palace, Shaikh Khalid expressed Bahrain’s admiration for Egypt’s development path. He praised the country’s efforts in economic and investment development. These efforts, he emphasized, are essential for sustainable growth and prosperity. Egypt’s commitment to this development is evident in its innovative approaches and ambitious vision.

The meeting took place with Engineer Khaled Abbas, Chairman and Managing Director of the Administrative Capital for Urban Development Company in Egypt. This meeting occurred as part of his visit to Bahrain for the Social Housing Innovation Conference and Exhibition. During their conversation, Shaikh Khalid recalled his visit to Egypt’s New Administrative Capital last year. He described the city as a testament to Egypt’s future-focused vision. The city’s advanced infrastructure and variety of facilities make it a model for integrated urban living. It meets the highest standards of quality of life and sustainability, while also providing ample investment opportunities.

The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation between Bahrain and Egypt, particularly in urban development. Both sides emphasized the value of exchanging expertise in urban planning and infrastructure development. The discussion also explored ways to support major projects in both countries, ensuring that best practices are utilized.
