Ateen Square Events Boost Tourism in Dhofar Khareef 2025

The Ateen Square events have officially begun in Salalah as part of the Dhofar Khareef Season 2025. Dhofar Municipality organized these activities to attract locals, residents, and tourists. The events will run daily until August 31.

This year, Ateen Square events offer a refreshed experience. Notably, the venue blends entertainment, arts, culture, and shopping. Furthermore, the interactive atmosphere appeals to families, youth, and children.

Each day features a range of live shows. These include drone light displays and eco-friendly fireworks. Additionally, the Galaxy show uses space-themed costumes and lights. The Crew Show features athletic stunts and acrobatics inspired by global talent programs.

Several international acts are also included. For instance, the Emoji Show brings digital icons to life in a fun, interactive format. Shadow and fantasy shows by the Arjola Band and Mexican Latin Band add variety. Moreover, UNESCO-backed folklore performances highlight global traditions.

Multiple themed carnivals take place throughout the event. The Music Carnival features European bands. In addition, the European Carnival presents Russian music with an oriental flair. The Hundred Carnival includes 100 performers in diverse roles. Additional highlights are the Peter Carnival and hot air balloon-themed costume parades.

Children can enjoy Oman’s largest inflatable amusement park. Importantly, supervised by trained staff, the park provides a safe play space.

Cultural elements are also featured. Specifically, Culture and Literature Street allows visitors to meet poets, writers, and artists. Live demonstrations and workshops offer hands-on learning and cultural exchange.

The main stage mimics Dhofar’s mountain landscape. It includes laser effects, waterfall features, and large display screens. As a result, this design enhances the visual experience during performances.

The venue also supports small businesses. Local women display products like perfumes, incense, and heritage-style clothing. Consequently, this encourages entrepreneurship and highlights women’s role in the local economy.

In summary, Ateen Square events combine culture, entertainment, and tourism. Overall, these attractions contribute to Dhofar’s seasonal growth and establish Ateen Square as a major destination in the Khareef season.
